Pixel pitch is simply the gap in millimeters between neighboring LED pixels. Stand close to a coarse screen and you see the dots; step back and they fuse into a seamless image. The fusion point is roughly 3 feet per millimeter of pitch — a P4 screen looks flawless from about 12 feet, a P1.5 from under 5 feet.
Here's the money insight the industry doesn't lead with: finer pitch than your viewing distance requires is invisible money. Going from P2.5 to P1.2 can nearly double a project's cost, and from 20 feet away, no human eye can tell the difference.
